Rear motor mount for flat pan hydro The 1955 year of the dual range hydramatic trans used in Pontiac & Olds Were “slant pan transmissions." They were turned 22 degrees on the engine to clear the narrow floor pan made for the standard trans. This cost several million to do cause of all the control linkages and the tilted bell housing. And got one year till the next version called Jetaway was used. Here’s the rub: I spend all my time with wrecking yards and working on Olds and Pontiac I think I saw Two standard shift transmissions. These engineers were taught to deal with things like this and my common sense says stamp out a larger floor pan for all the 55 Olds and Pontiac cars How much would that be to put a larger piece of sheet metal in the press and hit the button? But who am I ? Point: my rear mount will not fit the two slant pan transmissions.
